Quite a busy day at work, not helped by Bruce taking plenty of time off to chat to his brother.
Rained really hard on & off and then a massive hailstorm not long before running away time.
Went to the Isaac to talk to Jo about her passport problem thence to the Boathouse for the "A Pint of Science" event. Three quite interesting talks:
- first an archeaologist/anthropologist who talked about her work in Kosovo (when they recovered some bodies they found they'd been booby-trapped with grenades or with open cut-throat razors in the pockets)
- second a funny, entertaining talk by a bloke about the way the living & the dead interact & what the west thinks is the difference
- third a vulcanologist talking about the different ways that volcanoes can influence other things
Popped to the Portland for a last pint and then home for sleep.
