A terribly depressing morning (after watching TV until 03.45).
Cameron on course to govern on his own and the moon-faced lizard cunt has 5 years to gut the country. No NHS, no social housing, no human rights act a snoopers charter and foxhunting etc...
The big casualties were Ed Balls, Simon Hughes, George Galloway, Ester McVey & Danny Alexander. The only highlights were Caroline Lucas increasing her majority and Nigel Farage getting beaten (this ine was declared late morning). Danial Zeichner beat Julian Huppert by about 500 votes.
Went to Lou's office so she could do research & prep for job interview.
Farage followed up on his promise to quit as leader of UKIP if he didn't get elected.
Sort of: he said he might stand for leader again in the Autumn. Something Laura Kuensberg labelled as a 'Vicky Pollard' resignation ("Yeh but No bit Yeh").
Nick Clegg followed suit following their virtual wipeout (he was one of only 8 FibDems to survive the night, out of 57!). Ed Milliband resigned too making it 3 leaders to go in under an hour!
Both Clegg and Milliband were very humble in defeat (with some defiance thrown in). Jim Murphy resigned as the leader of the Scottish Labour Party too. Cameron must have been very happy when he went to Buck House.
Update" He 'Unresigned' on Monday 11/05/15 making him look like the type of lying, hypocritical arsehole politican he claims to be different from.
Still I'm sure his deputy did a good job during a difficult weekend.
