My hips are bloody sore this morning. Still, only one more route march to Jesus Green to do.
Walking down past old people's home I saw something in the road. On getting closer scrutiny, saw it was a large piece of an exhaust. Deciding that it was better out of the road as people speed round the corner & would either hit it or spit it out at the car behind. Dodging the cars I popped into the road and picked it up. Ir was still warm!
Does make me wonder who the hell loses a large chunk of exhaust & doesn't notice (it was quite large suggesting a van or truck).
Finished packing lawn photos & went back to printroom to find Bruce playing classical music & TMS at the same time :¬/
An engineer finally turned up & fixed worn belt that I'd pointed out to Bruce earlier n the week. Fixed around 16.00 so Bruce said to run the lot. Then he asked how long and I said about 90 minutes. He wasn't too happy about the time but i) he said to run them all & ii) if he'd have called engineer when I asked we'd have been doing it on Thursday or Friday morning.
Went to beer festival & got in the queue before Lou arrived. Managed to get a table in the corner of the tent and started to sample beers. Martin, Stu & ? joined us for chats. Lou & Stu had a bit of an arguement over women getting less for doing same jobs as men (Stu didn't believe it despite the rest of us telling him it does happen & often at that).
It was getting absolutely rammed so we left around 21.30 - bar was about 4-5 deep!
Walked home along river and looked at the pretty lights coming from something moored in the middle.
