Monday 18/04/15

What a miserable day! Woke up to it pissing down.

Went for breakfast and then over to the Senate House in the rain. Didn't take too long yo brake down even with me moving tables to dry area to take extenders off. The trouble with cold/damp conditions is that muscles get cold and makes lifting things harder. Finished by 10.30 and went to stand at the bus stop by Queen's for 15 minutes.

Over to find that Bruce had had even more trouble due to stupid garage and that he'd got wet too.

A couple of jobs waiting and then the 'indoor picnic' for Stella's retirement, including a superb cake.

At lunchtime Hazel came in to see where her manuals were. She'd sent them on Thursday afternoon & Bruce had missed them. I ran them out for her as she needed them for Tuesday AM. When Bruce reappeared he said he'd missed them because he was busy with jobs for Friday. Which he probably wouldn't have been if he hadn't have spent so many hours helping Hannah with her essay ....

Went to the Beer Festival after work: made it in 20 minutes door to door (bet I'll feel that later in the week).

Saw Tim & Julian Huppert has found himself something useful to do (ie serving beer). Monday night winners were 4T's "Stout", Humpty Dumpty's "Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster", Brentwood's "Hix's Darkside" and Arbour's "Nitro Stout". For Lou Kent's Double Vision "Cider" and Waddlegoose Lane's "Spadger" were the winners.
