Up quite late and wandered down to the Portland for the race. We were joined by a large lady & her rather excitable Alonso-supporting kid (3?).
Good race though Alonso was out when his visor tear-off strip went into the brake duct & fried his rears. He came in hot & mechanic showed good reactions to jump out of the way! Front jackman for Lotus wasnt so lucky: Grosjean came in & his brakes went meaning he hit the poor fellow right in the plums! We saw him later with a large bag of ice on his nuts. After Rosberg's win we went up the road to the Isaac for the Chelsea v LFc game. Wasn't a great match but a point away against the new champions is OK I guess. It could have been more if the witless wanker in the middle hadn't bottled the decision & let Fabregas stay in despite hcommitting multiple fouls.
Educated big Jim about politics & what the elction result meant as, while he votes, he said he didn't really know much about either.
