An unbelievable start for both Williams as they both beat the Merc's off the line. Then Williams cocked it up, first ordering Bottas not to pass his team-mate and then cocking up the pitstops too.
In the meantime the two Lotuses took each other out, hitting Alonso who then hit Button. Another British GP goes by for poor Jenson & it might be his last too (and he didn't even complete a lap).
Crash
Hamilton got them with undercut and won the race with Rosberg moving into second as Bottas & Massa couldn't keep the cars under control in the wet. To make it worse for Williams, Vettel took the 3rd podium spot and they ended up 4th & 5th (Bottas looked distinctly unhappy with that, understandably).
Over to Le Tour and what looked like a tricky day turned out just that way as the peleton was slpit into a number of groups due to crashes and a big storm. Froome & Contador were in the lead group and put serious time into both Quintana & Nibali (87 seconds).
Chavenal took the yellow jumper (Dennis was in the group with Nibali etc) after getting 3rd on the line from Cav & getting the 4 second bonus. Cue recriminations all round: Stage 2 article
Cav was criticised for not trying to which he responded furiously, calling his critics "imbeciles" & saying it wasn't a 'video game'. Which was odd, as one of those critricising was the boss of his own team!
