Up late and to the Isaac for qualifying + the prologue of the tour in Utrecht + the memorial bike ride.
Qualy was boring to be honest as it was pretty much as expected to start with. Both comedy cars/teams went out early doors. It's getting truly embarrassing for McLaren now: they're competing with/just beating a team that was in administration at the start of the season!
In the end Hamilton did just enough to beat Rosberg to top spot. The big surprise was that the Williams beat the Ferari's to the 2nd row.
Heather came in during this to watch the tennis (well perve over Roger F really). We told her about the ride and she came out to watch - was fanatastic: hundreds of bikes riding right past the pub.
After the tennis was over she came over to sit with us. A friend, Abby, turned up as they planned to go to the food park event too.
The tour time trial was great to watch and was won by Rohan Dennis of BMC. He was the only guy to go below 15 minutes and he set a new speed record (60+ KPH) as well.
Walked over to Madingley Rise and queued for the food park in the sun. Decided to sit outside. Beer/wine was very expensive: £3 for a 300ml can/£3.50m for a (small) glass!
Had a meze platter from The Wandering Yak. really tasty (forgot to take a photo).
Lou had beef & spicy salad from GoGo Gogi Gui
Had churros for seconds (too sweet for me so shared them out)
Then had probably the best ice cream I've ever had from Jack's Gelato. Lou snaffled the Vanilla and Marsala so I had the mango (also delish).
