Bright but bloody cold this morning!
Interesting email came in from somebody working for US Government asking about Meg which turned out to be real and not the spam it looked like (though was under the impression I worked with her).
A quiet morning followed by 'Martin's Mystery Buzzword Bullshit Bingo' (aka a staff meeting). Highlights included: declaring that the successor to CARET that's joining the UIS will not be a division & then referring to it as exactly that; admitting that he is aquainted with several of the new deputy directors (on of whom is/was in charge of the 'Universal Credits' IT clusterfuck); hinting tht we might drop Hermes in favour of MS Outlook for email; If you work in a crowded/noisy office that should all magically become OK in late May & staff can go on secondments except when they can't.
As somebody observed at the previous meeting, the more he talks the less people trust him.
