A lovely, bright cold morning.
I was surprised to see that Grange Road was open again - thought that they were expecting the work to take 3 weeks.
Went to West's for tea & a croissant.
Yet more changes to the Computer Lab booklet, according to Megan, as missing the name of a sponsor. Something to look forward to on Monday.
A day of bits and bobs such as certificates for Paul/Dave J. Luckily I spotted one where characters were large boxes - turns out that it was a name with an umlaut.
PM was pretty quiet so got to finish 2nd MoPO book so can read the third one over the next few weeks in preparation of the new one being released at the end of March.
Met Lou in the Carpenter's and also met Kath & Toddy. They off to Sardinia on a cheep break: $45 for the flights & about £180 for 3 nights in a 4* hotel.
Over to the folk museum at 19.30 to find that they'd opened the doors well early and it was standing room only. They were doing a couple of black bar beers, bread from Cobbs bakery & a choice of Lincolnshire Poacher or Stilton from the Cambridge Cheese Co. We both went for the Old Museum Porter & poacher. Lou gave me a bit of stilton she'd picked up to try and it was nice so I got a bigger piece; the non-manky bit was nicely creamy but the manky bit was still like soap. Also found a hidden toilet under the stairs that was fine for Lou but a bit awkward for me. Pints&Pubs & his girlfriend Louise were there but didn't have a chance to talk to them.
There were some talks too. Alan Ackroyd from the bakery talked about where they get the wheat from (mainly from Wimpole Hall farm). We had a talk about Stilton from Jacky Sutton-Admas and finally Keith Jordan talked about hops.
On the way out I bought 3 bottles of the porter to take home.

Payday! Woohoo!
Big team 'It wasn't me Guv!' meeting in the morning where Martin tried to explain the recruitment process & how it lead to 1 resignation & nobody from the former UCS getting a senior post in the new management structure. Also why Michelle got her new job despite being promoted prior to the process and not interviewed as Richard etc were.
Don't think Martin really convinced a lot of people TBH. I also noticed that when he was on dodgy ground he stammers a lot more than when he's talking about something he is sure of (eg CARET joining the UIS).
Finally got the go ahead for the CL booklets after another proof (due to Megan pasting the same paragraph onto the cover twice).
Bruce spent more time with Sarah making minute changes to a data centre opening invitation.
Over to the Isaac in the evening for nosh & footy (plus LOu giving Barbara details of counseling service she used). Liverpool spent the entire game going backwards against Besiktas - with a cutting edge we'd have put the game to bed with ease. Predicably they scored towards the end of the game ensuring extra time & penalties (our 5th being sent into the Bosphorus by Lovren).
Just what you need when Citeh are playing us at 12pm on Sunday. Not.

Not a great start to the day when discovering the snot goblins had visited my nose & installed a tap :¬)
Lots more odds & ends at work. Managed to make a transparent tiff for an invite Sarah & Bruce were working on.
Over to Lou's for the last episode of the fantastic "Wolf Hall". Watching a brilliant cast (especially Mark Rylance & Claire Foy) has been a genuine pleasure. Watched "Up The Woman" after as a nice contrast for the dark drama before it.
ITV, meanwhile were showing "The Brits" where an older American lady fell off stage. Madonna was feted as being 'a trooper' for getting back up and continuing. From what I gleaned for twitter etc one of her dancers was supposed to pull her cape (?!?) off and it didn't detach as planned leading to her stumbling down some steps.
Update: There is now speculation that this was a stunt designed to promote her upcoming tour. Evidence cited includes fact that dancers were round her, the fact that she wasn't trying to undo her Armani cape (as might be expected prior to it being whipped off) and that neither she or her dancers looked unduly alarmed at her 'fall'. Given her 2 days of practice & meticulous attention to details you might also wonder why the cape removal hadn't been sorted.
Either way it certainly generated world-wide headlines & a fillip for her current single...

Tuesday 24/02/15
Up & out relatively early and got a n email from Emma literally just as I was thinking of calling her to see if booklet was OK to go.
Did 281 copies and then booked van for the PM as two boxes.
Sue came down & was telling us about another example of MISD unhelpfulness. Needed to do a videconference and they denied it was their kit, despite it clearly having their details etc on it. Knobs.
Went over to CL with a job for Megan about 5 times as she kept making changes. And in one case, she'd missed out a word on the cover. Got caught at the start of a hail squall on one trip.
Over to Lou's on the bus for CL footy. Diverted route goes past Ridley Hall - had forgotten what odd architecture that has. Must go up Sidgewick Avenue with a camera one day.
Watched "Screenwipe" & "The Simpsons" before popping to Sainsbury's. Watched news until time to turn over. Pablo was supposed to be coming over but said he'd be a bit late. Which meant he missed Dzeko catching one 'amidships' *still wincing at the memory of that*
He also missed Suarez scoring a short time later but he did see their 2nd (LS again). When he got there about 15 mins in, Barca were running riot. Citeh were much better after the break (or Barca had taken their foot off the gas). MCFC got one back then went down to 10 after Clichy was sent off.
Drama at the end when Messi won a penalty. Hart saved it, diving to his left & palming it back to Messi who, with the goal at his mercy sent a diving header wide from 5 yards.
During the match, Lou & Pablo discussed the 4CMR situation - looks like there will be less than 6 people moving to the NMS next year as everybody else will have left (assuming Doug doesn't get any more money). Pablo homself is OK as he's paid by the Chilean government but he'll have to go back for 2 years after he & Jessica have qualified.
After Pablo left we listened to "The News Quiz" & then ambled home.

Monday 23/02/15
Up late and into town around 08.00 for breakfast. Lou decided half way there that she wanted to go and talk to Doug about the job/grant money situation.
Was going to stay in the Regal until 09.15 but a load of Americans came in so I moved outside for some quiet. After getting nosh in M&S (the "Greek style" yoghurt is delish & will deffo be having that again!) went over around 09.15. Was surprised to see some stuff had been done already: Phil said the Chinese cunts had taken a long time on Saturday so he's pottered about while waiting for Nick).
It was cold but the light was good
Had the legs off the tables by the time Phil came over and we had it all done in an hour (apart from extra stock which Phil took back on the trolley).
Ambled over to West Cambridge - still amazes me that so many can ignore 'no parking' notices. Should get tickets/towed but will get away with it.
After work went to the County, sorry Architect then over to the Isaac. It was DuĊĦan's 25th birthday celebration (his actual birthday is the 24th) so his mates got him balloons & a rude cake.
Anna turned up in a micro dress showing that she had great legs - something that left Benno a little light-headed/drooling.

Weekend 21/02 & 22/02
Saturday 21/02/15
Most of the morning was wasted in bed as knew it would be cold later. Went out with Lou as she was off to the office to play with her fimo clay. Got a coffee from Costa's and sat on the wall watching the plonkers pass by. Got into the marquee and turned the heater on (to the joy of the staff on the CARO stand) and got things going.
Graduation was quite slow and only had a bit of a rush at the end from all the poxy colleges like Lucy & Wolfson. As usual a bunch of Chinese turned up after we had turned stuff off wanting to order stuff (aka "The Yellow Peril"). Where they had been for the previous hour was anyone's guess (probably sucking each other off round the portico).
I wasn't wrong about the cold - everybody was in coats/hats/gloves even with the heater on.
Met Lou in the library and went to the Mitre but it was packed so we went next door for a couple of pints. Home for some fun and games.
Sunday 22/02/15
Got up early(ish) and went over to Newmarket Road. 1st stop was PC World where we looked at laptops & TVs before turning attention to tablets which was reason for coming. Disappointingly half of them weren't working so we couldn't really compare them. Suppose we could have asked but that often ends in a pressure sales pitch.
Next stop was Argos (didn't have gun had seen online) and onwards to Homebase. Here we looked for an something that would serve as a central part of the proposed rocket pack. Couldn't see anything really. Then we reversed course a bit & went to Tesco's for some of the nice paneer they stock, which they didn't have. Did pick up basis for a couple of meals (nut roast etc).
Final stop was Hobbycraft for ribbon/rope. Then a slow (and increasingly painful) walk home.
Put stuff in freezer & met Lou in the Isaac. Watched West Ham fuck up a 2 goal lead to Spurs (Harry Kane doing a dive Greg Louganis would have been proud of) then Everton v Leicester (EFC managing to fuck up/LCFC coming from behind to win all 3 points) before our game v Saints.
Blimey that was a tough one (could have been 2 penalties & a man down inside 20). A brilliant goal from Philippe opened for us and Raheem added another in the 2nd half. A good win and our 5th on the trot.

Friday 20/02/15
Busy morning - MSM had some more printing (despite claiming a few weeks ago that they didn't).
Went over to Senate House to set up stand - got there at 13.55 & still on my own by 14.15. Mick & Phil finally turned up about 10 minutes later. Main topic of conversation while setting up was Richard and the storm his resignation has engendered. Even MB had head the dissatisfaction and has changed the staff meeting to deal with it. Sent an email saying he want to outline the process that left 2 MISD with new jobs but nobody from UCS (aka the 'It wasn't me guv' defence).
Finished and went over to Lou's then onto Bath House.
You know when you say things out loud? Couple next door exploring eachnother's tonsils & I exclaimed 'Give her one from me!' TBF it had the desired effect as they stopped and then left in embarrassment.

Thursday 19/02/15
A cold morning and then a call at 08.45ish from Bruce to say he'd be in late as neighbour has had a bad fall and waiting for people (presumably Dr and/or ambulance).
12pm: phone call to say he was still with the ambulance (why?)
12.30 still no sign ...
So left for lunch with Lou & showed her hot to make octipith & guages on youtube.
Over to PandIS for lots of heavy lifting. Not helped by Phil as he had appointment for whole of the afternoon. Got cages packed and down in corridor then went over to chat to Adrian. He's also shocked by Richard's resignation. Lots of talk about loss of both experience & goodwill element. Also how much we've spunked on 'consultants' etc.
He told me about Michelle who has been tasked, as part of her "new" management job, with updating all the service agreements, contracts etc. She went around about 14 people (eg Paul M, Bob D etc) and asked if they could help her. Over conversations in the common room this came out and the upshot is that they were all too busy and didn't want to help her do this and then she take the credit for it.
Went to the Regal for a few and then onto the Isaac to watch LFC beat Besiktas 1-0 (Balotelli taking the ball off Hendo & then belting it into the net).

Wednesday 18/02/15
Another very sunny but cold morning. Monica dropped by for some laminating & asked if I'd heard that Richard M had resigned. Told her it wasn't surprising and that MB had told him he hadn't got the job he applied for & then asked him to do something for him.
We both think Richard will be the 1st of many to move on, leaving the organisation much weaker as a result. Millions of pounds & countless man hour wasted while making the service worse. That's the University way. :¬/
Just after I wrote the above Richard came in to tell me that he'd resigned - he was impressed with the speed of the 'bush telegraph' when I told I'd heard. We had a chat about the direction of the department (it could work out OK but probably wont). He doesn't have a plan for after leaving (probably in May) but after 20 years in the University he thinks he needs a step back & thinking about what wants to do with the rest of his working life. He told me that they sold their Cambridge house last summer & have been living in Saffron Walden. They are thinking of buying a place back in Cambridge vicinity, in Northern Ireland, France or Denmark. Have a few months to narrow it down.
Richard also said that, moving to SW had made him realise how unfriendly Cambridge has become. Told him about Cath & Fred viewing London as friendlier than here.Richard also talked about taking a step back and viewing things as a whole & thinking that a 'top down' hierarchy wont really work in the University structure. Did also mention that a possible loss of goodwill among staff - the 'that's not in my job description but I don't mind doing it' factor that keeps the system working.
Will be a shame to see Richard go as he's 1 of the good guys. He did say that number of factors aligned to make it the right time to move on.
Away from work, footage merged of supposed Chelsea fans pushing a black Parisian off the metro & chanting about how they were proud to be racists (http://bit.ly/1zn1d3G). Every group has it's share of prize knobheads but I don't assume that those utter bellends are representative of either Chelsea or it's fans
Over to Lou's and we watched 'Iron Sky' which may be one of the most brilliantly batty movies I've ever seen. Completely mental and has massive plot holes but doesn't seem to care about them. Some of the acting is awful & the dialogue terrible but it's still a magnificent hoot.
Then over to 'Wolf Hall' where MArk Rylance once again displayed his masterly talents with yet another uderstated performance as Thomas Cromwell. The last episode is next week and that seems a terrible shame.
"Up The Women' lastly for a complete change of pace. Another good episode of this gentle comedy.

Tuesday 17/02/15
A beautiful spring morning today. Sometimes the quality of the light in Cambridge is stunning. A shame that working out here as would have loved to wander town taking pictures.
Got a name check on the radio & favourite from Christian O'Connel for this #AtWorkTimewaster regarding 'signs the Brits are on Mars'
Got go ahead for Divinity booklet so printed it and, as it was a nice day, took it over to Divinity. A nice walk in the sun and delivered just before 12pm.
Watched the UKIP docudrama - a bit uneven, perhaps inevitably. The lead actor was pretty good though.
After work went to the Isaac to watch PSG v Chelski game with Jim & his mate. Enjoyed a bit of ribbing at his expense re Spurs game.
Laptop still not working :¬(

Monday 16/02/15
Walking to work, I saw 2 vehicles swing round signs on Madingly Road saying
that Grange Road was closed only to find that the signs were right. #knobheads
Was quite funny watching the dickkeads having to do 3 - point turns while I laughed at them (just a shame I wasn't on the Grange Road side so I could point at them too.
Divinity: if you need something urgently and you know you'll be off for a week then you should probably pull your finger out & organise stuff BEFORE you go off. Ditto if you are 'school term time only' ...
Went to the Isaac in the filthy weather that had persisted all afternoon. Lou delivered the news that she will be out of a job at the end of May as, according to Marina, Doug had no right to tell her that he'll keep her by getting her to work with other people. Marina's advice was to look at/apply for other jobs in case funding etc doesn't come through.
Watched the FA Cup draw - amazingly we avoided both Le Arse & the Mancs. Stayed on to watch the Preston - ManU game. Surprisingly Jared turned up and said he was getting married at the end of July, he was having the reception in the Isaac and we were welcome to come.
Home after the game to watch 'Only Connect'. Unfortunately in the middle of a pointless anecdote from Victoria the picture stopped working & then the laptop stopped working altogether. #fuck

Weekend 14/02 & 15/02/15
Saturday 14/02/15
Went out mid-morning with the aim of trying the new coffee place on East Road out. It was pretty busy and everybody was ordering food too so we moved on.
After Sainsbury's we stopped in the Architect for a pint or two of Claverly's. There was a family with a 2 week old baby at the other end of the table. Lou played with their older kid.
Watched England v Italy in the Isaac - a good match and closer than the final score would suggest.
This mascot was probably the highlight ...
After the rugby we stayed for the Cup game - got pretty angry with the blind spaztard that Soho Square sent to referee them game at Crystal Palace. Looks like the blind, witless wankstain had orders to help Palace & cuntychops did everything he could. Still don't know how we squeaked that win with that syphillitic turd in charge.
Hope he gets his microcock trapped in his zip every week between now and the footy next world cup.
Went home and made a massive lasagne but Lou couldnn't eat a lot of it as still sufferring from after effects of bottom nightmare.
Sunday 15/02/15
Watched SFTW and then went over to the Isaac. Had a good chat with Heather, Johnny & Aidy.
Also had a cheeky 'furtle' c/o Fentimans...
Came home and watched 'Top Gear' before crashing out.

Friday 13/02/15
A long day doing lots of work.
Arranged to meet Lou in the Mill Pond & decided to take the bus instead of walking in the rain. Went out at 16.25 to catch the advertised 16.30.
16.30 came & went with no sign of the bus. It finally passed us at about 16.43 on it's way to the Park & Ride. It finally made it to the stop at 16.55. The late bus meant that then got stuck in heavy traffic. Finally made it to the pub about 17.15.
I can't decided whether Stagecoach timetables are a) an aspiration b) the greatest work of fiction in the Western World. Either way they are fucking shit.
Lou had a bad case of dire rear and had to keep going to the loo - even water was going straight through. Eventually cleared up around 4am. Still no idea what she'd eaten/drunk/touched to cause it.

Thursday 12/02/15
A happy 500th birthday to Hampton Court Palace: Cardinal Wolsey's account book records that building began 12 Feb 1515.
One panic job apiece for MSM & the CL and then quiet. Kate came in & said something cryptic about cups. Turns out, after questioning, that she was saying that none of the managers who applied for their own jobs got selected (ie. they didn't make the cut, not cup). The suspicion is that a lot will either leave of their own accord or take voluntary redundancy (if it's offered).
Bruce said he'd talked to Richard M who said Martin had come to see him, told him the news and then asked him to take on a new project/prepare the ground for his successor. This is also known as 'Taking The Fecking Piss!' There is a feeling that there will be a diminishing of goodwill/people who actually do stuff will be offski and then Regent House will be wondering why they have spent millions to create a worse service (probably leading to another review & re-organisation).

I thought Adrian might be in need of cheering up so I left this on his desk...
I'm not entirely sure he appreciated it.
Bruce seemingly has finally accepted that we may have to use a different supplier instead of Ricoh (only taken 2 years). Talking about getting quotes from Xerox, Minolta & Cannon for both colour & mono machines.
Had to chase Emma at MSM again. :¬[
Went home to suasuages & chips + TV.
The Comic Relief Bake Off featured Jennifer Saunders, Lulu, Joanna Lumley & Dame Endna Everidge. It was one of the funniest things I've seen on TV in some time. Watching the Aussie trying to remover her cookie from the pan with pliers had us crying with laughter. The 'Sydney Opera House after a nucler srtike' was nearly as good. Jo Lumley having to do her chocolate cake a 2nd time after putting a jar of coffee in the was ace & Lulu carving the top of her cake over a hole (into which it promptly fell) was priceless. "Class Swot" Saunders won.
Wolf Hall just keeps getting better - class drama (that's losing viewers who are too stupid to follow it) done properly. A televisual gem by the BBC.
Up The Women lastly with the best one yet, the actresses dressing as men (with Rebecca Front looking like a young Dickens) and debating the suffragette cause with Churchill. A lovely gentle sitcom from the old school pen of Jessica Hynes.

Tuesday 10/02/15
Very frosty/slightly misty start to the day. Gave trees and bushes in West Cambridge a nice wintry look.
Dear god! I'm either too sober, hallucinating or both .... Bruce actually did some tidying up! He tipped a big pile of paper that he's been hoarding into the recycle bin and took out a load of rubbish too!
Going for a little lie down while I attempt to digest this.
Went, as is out custom, to the Mitre. Met a woman who still has the lettering on her wristband (must not use it much). Was asked where hat/uniform was.
After much quaffage, went home to watch the LFC v Spuds game. Bloody stream kept either freezing or unilaterally deciding that we should be watching some other shit. When I’m evil overlord, anybody involved in producing pop-up ads will be publicly hung, drawn and quartered. As will all their relatives.
Eventually gave up and watched "The Hunger Games" instead.
The end of days is near as Mario Balotelli scored the winner.

Monday 09/02/15
Came in and started on the urgent job for non proof-reading shitehawk at MSM at 8am. By 8.30 could go back to the other heap of fetid garbage for them.
Took their "urgent" stuff over and then got a message from Emma saying that they needed the stuff early this week (well you should have fucking let us know then shouldn't you!) oh & there was another 3 to come over too.
Finally finished the 3 just shy of 14.00 and then started on the proofs ... One was 225 pages!
Took them over at around 15.00 and the weather was lovely and actually a bit warm: a definite hint of spring.
Got home and then went straight out again, to the Carpenters (for a nice change). Was nice to see Keith, Toddy & Kath too. Home for pizza and brain pain in the form of University Challenge & Only Connect.
University Challenge: Trinity were awful! Got publicly shafted by more than 300 points! Trinity would have been better selecting 4 randoms from 222 to represent them (they couldn't have been much crapper than the £9k dunces).
Only Connect: Got the answers to questions about beer barrel sizes and the jailed MPs questions. Not sure what that says about me...

Weekend 07/02 & 08/02
Saturday 07/02/15
This was, essentially a day of killing time until derby KO. Had breakfast at the Tivoli (Lou unhappy that she got Eggs Royale instead on Benedict) then went over to Grafton charity shops looking for small teapot to go on walking cane. Lou came home with a miniature chinese teapot, cups & a belt. I got some cat food. All-in-all, not a huge success.
Went to the library as they were doing DVDs for £1 for 7 days. Bumped into John C and had a cup of tea and a long natter in the cafe on the 3rd floor.
Came home and watched "Death in Paradise" - well I did, Lou mostly slept.
Went over to the pub around an hour before kick off & it was rammed. One table with a blonde banshee was there making a noise all night.
Game was a complete waste of time. We tried hard but mainly seemed to be attempting to bore them into submission while Everton came with the single purpose of not losing. It actually took them until the 87th minute to have their one & only shot on target. Barry, who'd joined us to watch the match, actually missed this as he'd got so bored he'd gone home.
One the plus side, we did get to eat our free burgers.
Sunday 08/02/12
This was all about Steampunk at the Folk Museum. After some debate, Lou went with the gold corset, purple skirt and purple jacket from Primark. I was just in my usual military outfit.
Wandered down about 11.30 and saw a few over the road at the council (Sue & Barry + Phil & Ang). so walked down with them. Andrew & Jill joined us inside and the guide was a 3rd year scouser studying Anglo-saxon & Norse. Waited for a while for Jamie, Magz etc but when they turned up there was only Jamie & Bronwyn. Apparently Magz elder daughter had had a hissy fit and she'd stayed behind to reason with her. Tour was excellent and enjoyed by all.
Wandered down the hill in groups to the Mitre, where Magz joined us (still sans daughter). As she hadn't been able to dress properly Jamie ended up lacing her corset up in the pub to curiosity of the 'normals'. Had a lovely conversation with all - hadn't really chatted to Phil & Angie before so that was great. Everybody seemed to have enjoyed the afternoon & we all said we must meet up again ASAP.
After we all split up we wandered home & got changed. Went over to the pub and watched the West Ham-Scum game. Seems Fergietime still operates and, if it wasn't for De Gea, the Hammers would have won. Also if they had been able to defend until the final whistle, they would have won.
Home to watch "Top Gear". Was one of the funniest for ages. Watching James losing his 'patient' was LOL and Danny Ricciardo being asked what the back of Lewis Hamilton's car looked like was superb.

Phew- what a busy day!
Lots of printing for assorted people. Also called Emma at MSM (around 3.30pm) and asked about the 3 jobs that were down as wanted for Monday and had been on proof for a week....
Turns out that they were OK to go but Emma had forgotten to let us know. One of the jobs is 281 copies, which I estimated would take around 5.5 hours....
Then, at 16.20, Emma sent over another email about a job that we'd already done once - apparently dicksplash tutor didn't bother checking the proof.
Prick.
This was wanted by Tuesday AM (along with 400 other things).
Fuckers.
Lou wans't having a good day either: shithead Ruski cocksucker sent bid in to EU, via Doug, and then announced that she hadn't actually finished it and, despite it being handed in, wanted it back to make changes.
Fucking waste of DNA.
As a result we went to the pub and ended up staying to watch the Wales v England game there instead of at home.
What a frigging awesome win!
Despite losing half the team before the start and being 10 points down early doors, the team pulled together and shut the crowd up.

Thursday 05/02/15
Walked to work in light snow, which didn't stick about long.
Gave Emma @ MSM a scare by calling her about a job that was wanted today - turns out she'd put the wrong date on the order. Did it took it over (was ffffrrreeeezing).
Met Lou in the Isaac with the intention of going to Aldi but got talking to Ross about steampunk. He reckons Lucy would love it. As had a few beers and didn't fancy rushing to Aldo we strolled down to Sainsbury's. On the way back we thought we'd pop into the Baron & see if we could do their "Who Am I" quiz only to find that they didn't have one. A nice few beers, chat & home to watch "Weekly Wipe".

Wednesday 04/02/15
Felt crap this morning but decided to come in (otherwise might think I'd overindulged on the sauce watching the match). Most of the snow has melted but it's still cold.
Big delivery of paper that Ian & Jim couldn't bring in so I ended up doing it (Mr. Mistoffelees doesn't usually get in till 09.45).
[12.30 - Yes, I have done all that stuff for Will that came in 90 minutes ago while you were upstairs gassing. #Grrrr]
After much work, took bus to Lou's, waited for a bit then went to Sainsbury's. Ended up watching "The Bourne Indentity".
Left for home with LFC 1 down to a 'dodgy' penalty (ie a flop/dive/plunge/blatant cheating. Grumbled all the way home & then discovered that Sterling had equalised & then, in injury time, Coutinho had lobbed the keeper to make it 2-1.

Tweeted message to Gordon to say happy birthday (tried calling but no answer).
Snow had indeed settled overnight but not huge depth. Walked to work in army boots (which I've had exactly 1 year). making sure to try and walk in 'virgin' snow wherever possible. :¬)
View from the office (once the sun was properly up):
Woman from MedSoc confirmed booklets were OK to run so finished them off while the machine was actually working. Ended up making a squashed down box so she could get them in her bag.
Left shoulder was very bad today - lifting lots of heavy boxes of paper & hole punching lots of stuff for MSM has fucked it up totally. Added to this hips & chest not too good either. Think they might as well haul me off to the nackers yard for glue & Tesco Finest "Beef" lasagne.
Went too the Isaac in the evening to watch ManUSA v Cambridge United FA Cup replay. 6,500 fans from Cambridge made the trip and made a lot of noise. Eventually though a squad costing around £350M saw off the squad costing exactly zilch. Some terrible defending saw Cambridge lose 3-0 though the did scare the bejesus out of Van Gaal's show ponies when Elliot (?) hit the outside of the post in the 1st 5 minutes.
Limped home for large quantity of Votarol.

A bloody freezing start to the day & had eaten 1/2 my lunch by 10am.
Steve came in to fix the machine (had forgotten he was coming in).
Took a load of urgent stuff over to MSM. Then more stuff to CL (ooo my back!).
Had been told that a booklet for G&C MedSoc was coming over today but there was no sign of it (but no time was arranged). At around 14.30 she called to see if there was a problem, claiming she'd sent it at 02.30. After a number of emails/phone calls she finally managed to send it over & then asked if it was OK . Twice. In a minute.
Did some proofs for her and left them @ Reception.
Went to the pub to see the gorgeous Camille & whilst there Lou got a message from the Mitre asking for meal selections so Andy could buy the meat on Wednesday AM.
Home to food & 'Only Connect' - actually got a number of questions right (including on the wall) and in one case after only 2 of the clues. Lou got a couple on the wall too.
As Lou drifted off to sleep saw a number of Cambridge tweets saying it was snowing, looked out & it was settling too.

Weekend - 31/01 & 01/02
Saturday
Went looking for cases for the sports glasses that got from Amazon. Nobody appears to sell them separately from the rubbish shades they sell. Back to the drawing board for that one.
While we were wandering round the snow came down really heavily. Getting round was a bit of a bugger as town was rammed anyway & loads of knobbers were stopping randomly to take selfies of themselves with snow.
Had arranged to meet Ali & Time etc at the Regent but Ali phoned us to say that Livi' was unwell & they were waiting for a Dr. Just after Tim called to say he'd just talked to Ali (he'd been rowing) and he was coming into town anyway so we could meet.
We'd arranged to go to the Brewhouse but it was rammed so we went to the Champion of the Thames instead. At one point, Lou & I were the only one's there. Got a nice seat near fire & had a nice chat with Tim & Steve (ex-Bird).
Made a tasty pasta bake - one with single cream, passata & lemon etc.
A couple of photos from snow (mucked about in photoshop).
Sunday
Watched the usual morning TV then over to the pub for nosh & footer, starting with the truly wretched Aston Villa getting publicly fucked by Arsenal. Hada good chat with Will, Jonny, Aidy etc about bad customer service in pubs.

Lots of proofs over to Materials 1st thing - had to wait around as not fully open at 09.05.
Then spent a couple of hours doing all the photos from the January graduation.
Met Lou & Allisia (very briefly) in the Pint Shop stopping to take some nice sunset shots on the way.
Highlight of the night was watching Nick Clegg getting roasted on 'The Last Leg'. Very funny & twitter response was generally positive.

What a day!
Seemed to be the only one doing any work today. I did about 12 different things but boss seemed to do about 2 things all day.
In the evening we went for a curry & then met Ali Wood for the 1st good natter for ages
Got home for the 1st of the new series of "Weekly Wipe" - fewking hilarious.
